My Topic:  Covid-19 Restrictions

An essay proposal is exactly what it sounds like – it proposes an idea for an essay topic and provides evidence as to why it is a good choice of topic for your essay.

Your proposal must include the following:

• Your topic and why you chose it
• A working thesis statement
• A brief discussion of the points you plan to make
• Potential rebuttals you might encounter
• What you want to learn from the research process
• Potential research sources

You can organize your proposal into headings or you can simply write a paragraph that addresses all of the above. Example headings could be:

– Topic

– Thesis

– Discussion & Rebuttal

– Research

Your proposal should be around 150 to 200 words in length. Please double space and use one of the following fonts:

– Times New Roman 12pt; Calibri 11pt; Arial 11pt; Georgia 11 pt
