Chief officers should stay abreast of current trends and their possibilities. This includes conducting research into new
methods or avenues to solve the problems their community and citizens face. The ability to find and locate current and past
information assists in determining the most appropriate approach to solving these problems.
Conduct research on computer fire modeling, and write a report on identifying and detailing current computer fire modeling
functions. Cover both classes of fire modeling programs and the sub-classifications of each program class. For each
system designed, what are the benefits and problems associated with each program?
Your findings should include concerns about modeling programs and their availability to the local jurisdictions, the lack of
universal approach, and evacuation capacities as well as other items discovered during your research. In addition, discuss
the benefits of computer modeling.
This report should be a minimum of three pages in length and should include a title page and reference page. The title and
reference pages do not count toward the total page requirement.
Your assignment should have citations supporting your claims. You will need to have at least two references from academic
sources, with at least one from the Waldorf Online Library. You may use any sources you have been introduced to in this
course or any other academic references to support the research. Please ensure that all outside sources are cited and
referenced using correct APA style.
