MHC 500 Final Project One Guidelines and Rubric

Overview Final Project One for this course is the creation of a resource portfolio. The final product will be a tool for you to use once you are working within your community as a clinical mental health counselor. You will build your resource portfolio throughout the course by adding resources for the identified topics and client populations during weekly assignments. You will submit these resources throughout the course and receive instructor feedback before submitting the final product in Week Nine. In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:

 MHC-500-01: Determine state-specific licensure and credentialing requirements as they relate to clinical mental health counseling

 MHC-500-02: Explore state-specific ethical standards and legal considerations as they relate to the role of a clinical mental health counselors across specialty areas and their relationships with integrated behavioral health care systems

 MHC-500-03: Apply theories and models related to clinical mental health counseling as they relate to client case conceptualization

 MHC-500-04: Explain how clinical mental health counselors interface with the legal system and mental health service delivery modalities within the continuum of care

 MHC-500-05: Articulate the process of clinical mental health counselors advocating on behalf of the profession and their clients

Prompt You will need to address each of the topics below with a resource and summary. Each summary should include the name of the organization or service, its contact information, a reflection on how the resource will support future clients, and the ethical and legal considerations within your state. You will also have to identify what kind of theory or model the organization uses. The resources should be within your community, but if you are having difficulty finding a resource, you can look throughout your state.
