Week One Journal Entry

Throughout this course you keep a journal, and you add to it by responding to the prompts for that particular week. Each journal entry should be 250- to 350-words in length. Additional entries beyond the required weekly response may be related to connections you make between course materials and your personal experiences. The completed journal is submitted for grading Week Five.

Identify 2 corporations in your city that use proprietary security and 2 corporations that use contract security.

Week One Journal Prompts:

• What differences are there between the corporations that likely influenced their decision for the appropriate type of security to be selected? If the appropriate type was not selected, why not?
• What is your understanding of the main functions of corporate security?
• What are your direct experiences with corporate security?
• What have you seen related to corporate security in the media or movies? How do you think this has shaped the public’s view of corporate security?
